An Emotional Goodbye

This week has been awesome! We got so much done, so much cleared, more than we planned. Much of this is due to Preston putting in over and beyond hours on the bulldozer. To put it simply, he and the bulldozer bonded this week. Since we rented the dozer, we knew that at the end of the project he would have to say goodbye. It was with mixed feelings, one part sweet success and accomplishment, one part sadness that it’s over and the machine has to go away.

This picture sums it all up.

Now we move on to burning the 40 sum odd piles of bulldozed cedar that are scattered across our land. There is never a loss of things to do around here. Never.
