About two years ago we started our barn.
We had to clear the site and prep it.
Then the construction process began.
Prestondid a wonderful job building our barn from the ground up, using only reclaimed material. He finished the structure, roof, and feed room.
Like all homesteads, the list of pressing things is always piling up, so the rest of the barn got put on hold while we moved on to more needed projects.
With kidding season upon us and the inevitable February cold front due to arrive, the barn has once again become the most pressing project on my agenda.
This week marks the start of finishing the barn.
Today Preston and his little Side Kick went to pick up all the second hand tin that we need to enclose the rest of the barn.
Tomorrow the frame work begins and hopefully by the end of the week we will have walls up!
